Dr. Joseph Rispoli

Dr. Joseph Rispoli is an ocular disease residency trained medical optometrist.

He was born and raised in Portsmouth, Rhode Island and completed his undergraduate studies at Saint Anselm College in New Hampshire. During his four years working towards a degree in Natural Sciences, Dr. Rispoli acted as Vice President for his class and was a member of the Men’s Division II Soccer Team. Following his parents as a legacy student, he attended Pennsylvania College of Optometry where he developed his skills to become an attentive, compassionate and detail oriented medical professional earning high honors in the clinic. On his rotations, he focused his studies on low vision and ocular disease while working at the Feinbloom Low Vision Center in Philadelphia, the West Haven Veteran Affairs Medical Center in Connecticut, and the Womack Army Medical Center at Fort Bragg in North Carolina.

To further his education, Dr. Rispoli completed a residency in ocular disease and surgical co-management in Baltimore, MD at OMNI Eye Specialists. He studied under surgical ophthalmologists specializing in cataract, oculoplastic, and retinal surgery. Through this residency, Dr Rispoli gained the knowledge to properly and effectively care for patients with glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and anterior segment disease.

In Dr. Rispoli’s free time, he enjoys cooking, biking, running, and exploring the city.
